McCullum Youth Court is proud to announce the launch of our Direct Parent Referral Program
After 18 years of providing successful programs that use restorative justice, peer counseling and peer advocacy, McCullum Youth Court is branching out to offer our effective interventions to families who want to support their struggling youth.
For the first time, parents or guardians can enroll a teen into one of our proven programs to stop trouble before it starts. Instead of waiting for a crime to be committed, parents can now refer a youth to our program, where they’ll get the counseling, guidance, life skills and support needed to learn, grow and develop along healthier lines.
Youth challenges may include:
•· Anger management
•· Theft
•· Vandalism
•· Drug use
•· Oppositional behaviors
After completing our three-to-six month program, youth can get involved in our peer court as an attorney, bailiff or court clerk (also known as Youth Advocates), and may then continue on to mentor others and build further leadership skills by joining our Youth In Leadership Program. It’s a great start on a stronger future.
